The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Sainik School admission application forms for the 2025-26 academic session in the third week of December 2024.

  • For Class 9 Admission:
    • Age Requirement: Applicants should be between 13 and 15 years old as of March 31, 2025, with birth dates between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012.
    • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Class 8 from a recognized institution at the time of admission.

Application Process:

  1. Registration:
    • Visit exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/.
    • Click on ‘New Registration’ and provide the required personal and contact information.
    • Set a secure password and select a security question for account recovery purposes.
  2. Filling the Application Form:
    • Log in with the assigned application number and password.
    • Complete the form by entering personal details, academic qualifications, and preferred examination centers.
  3. Uploading Documents:
    • Upload scanned copies of the following documents in JPG/JPEG format within the specified size limits:
      • Photograph: 10 KB – 200 KB
      • Signature: 4 KB – 30 KB
      • Thumb Impression: 3 KB – 30 KB
      • Birth Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable): 50 KB – 300 KB each
  4. Payment of Application Fee:
    • General and Defence Category: ₹650
    • SC/ST Category: ₹500
    • Payment can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or Paytm.
  5. Confirmation:
    • After successful submission, download and print the confirmation page and fee receipt for future reference.

Reservation Policy:

  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
  • Home State Candidates: 67%
  • Candidates from Other States/UTs: 33%
  • Children of Service Personnel (including Ex-servicemen): 25%

Examination Centers:

Applicants can select their preferred examination cities during the application process. Allocation is based on availability and is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Details of the assigned examination center will be provided on the admit card.
